Real time noting feed was created by Kenneth Folk
I'm fantasizing about a real time noting feed. Maybe a widget that shows up anytime I have AwakeNetwork open in a tab on my computer. It would be like a Twitter feed, but limited to, say, twenty or thirty characters, so it really only works for noting, but not for chat. A really long note might be something like "anticipation thought," which is twenty characters.
You'd be able to see what everyone else is noting in real time; could be one person at a time or two or many. A noting pool, where people drop notes into the water, maybe cause a little ripple, maybe not, but they get to share it as it's happening. When two or more people are there, it would be a way to make an intimate connection with someone across distance without having to engage in content or even write a sentence. Just to know someone is there and you're here, and this is what's going on for them and this is what's going on for you. Maybe we would archive up to 24 hours of it and let the rest fade away.
Maybe someday, in a later version, we could have visualizations. For now, though, text would be all we'd need.
