Okay, why is it that sometimes when I reply to a post in a thread it nests nicely under the post I'm responding to and other times it ends up out of sync at the end of the thread? Even quick reply seems erratic in this regard.
While I'm here, might you consider bringing back the thank you button?

On the Thank You button issue we're going to give not having it some time. The reasons we removed it remain valid. We would like to get more members, active ones at that, and anything we can do to make the place more accommodating we should do.
About the threading, Laurel, if you reply to a post up-thread your reply will show up at the point that you replied, just after the post you replied to. If you reply to the last post on a thread your reply will show up as the last post itself. The operative factor here is which post you reply to.
Make sense?

My posts never display in a threaded way. Thank God, as I find that irritating. Just to point out that the whole nested posts thing is apparently optional.

You can flip between the various topic display modes using the buttons that appear at the top of the topic, the choices being threaded, indented, and flat. Me, personally, I prefer flat because the others mess up the chronology, which is more important to me.

Aha! I used Reply Post and here it is (was; now this one temporarily is) at the end of the thread.
What is threaded, and what is flat? I don't get it. Not to mention indented. Sheesh, I feel dumb.
