There has, for a long time, been a "Read" item in the menu where some of our members have contributed long-form articles of interest. That said, new articles have not appeared for a long, long time.
I am (finally) working on a major refresh of AN, and so I have the following two questions:
If I decide to just do away with this, I would like to ensure the contributors do not lose their thoughtful work.
I am (finally) working on a major refresh of AN, and so I have the following two questions:
- Is there value in keeping a "magazine" section of the site?
- Do the existing authors have/want copies of their contributions?
If I decide to just do away with this, I would like to ensure the contributors do not lose their thoughtful work.

It’s been a long time since I looked at the magazine, but when I did I found Chris’s journal very informative. It had value for me.

Tom, I vote to keep the magazine section. It's a great long-form mode of online communication to get information to others. If you decide to kill it, I do want to get a copy of my contributions.

It seems like a value add to keep quality older articles . Doesn’t need new stuff to be useful , I would think

Oh awesome! So in the new framework the tech might be different but I'll be sure to pull it all over.

I didn't know we had a magazine! Goes to show just how disengaged I've been, for far too long.
If it's staying live (and alive), I may consider writing and submitting some essays.

The Magazine is now live (again) on the new site. I hope this can grow to be a useful resource to others. And Jackson, you have one article that needs attention from the migration before it is published!
