Fine distinctions, finely made - finally!

Kenneth's "Q & A on the Non-dual" is comprehensive, crucial and well-worth revisiting and referencing in any future discussion threads that arise in this forum.

He touches on every major point of contention for real practitioners who have advanced beyond the beginner's level.

Kenneth distinguishes between different points of view, and different views of practice, in a way that is far more useful, I believe, than is typically the case. One indication of this is seen in his minimal use of specialize terminology. Contrast this with the many Buddhist bloviators who crowd the Internet: they toss around out-of-context quotes from canonical texts, or indulge in uninformed logic-chopping, or preen over their knowledge of Asian languages. Their words are (to borrow from Shakespeare's Macbeth) "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

A final point: It behooves one to notice when something read, seen or heard in one moment is then recognized in another moment as having been premonitory. These significant coincidences, or synchronicities, are never accidental. The wise pay heed.

I have to agree with Gozen - Kenneth has a rare gift of clear explanation and we should be very grateful he's sharing it with us.

I could not agree more with you, Gozen! I very much appreciate plain language and discussions that are free from unnecessary use of unfamiliar or arcane terminology.

I've always been a big fan of the KISS principle. I had a teacher (not dharma) who used to say that if he could create the right metaphor for a student, he could teach anyone anything. I think that's probably true...
