Just listened to the first part and had to comment on Kenneth's description of 3rd Immaterial (Arupa) Jhana

(paraphrasing)
"It feels like...well...hehe...nothing...So I'm gonna move on"

I'm not sure why I thought this was particularily worth pointing out, but there.

It is amazing to see that more than 1500 years after Buddhaghosa, great Buddhist yogis hiding behind the appearance of ordinary lay citizen are able to experience and describe with great accuracy what has often been considered unreachable even for full time advanced meditators.

This information is so very helpful, considering that some of these stages can fly by in seconds. Getting familiar with how they can or should feel will definitely allow us to gain familiarity with the subtleties of advanced Buddhadharma, leading to bona fide gnosis/jnana.

If a load of Buddhist Geeks fans who listened to your interviews with Vince Horn join your forum in the coming days, they will reach a new level of dharma-geekiness and hopefully be able to quickly rise up through the Jhanic arc. Thanks again.

In trying to come to grips with the jhanic arc, this has been the best for me. I just love moments like Kenneth struggling to describe jhana's. There is so much more here than the written word.
