Fresh Dharma Talk: 3 Ways to Value Space was created by kennethfolk
I felt inspired and didn't want to wait for the perfect moment, so I recorded this talk while taking a walk today. You can hear the wind blowing and my P's popping. I think it's worth the trouble, though, and I hope you like it:

Excellent talk, Kenneth! Your description of the 3 ways to value space, and how these connect to different spiritual practice traditions, was sheer brilliance. It was totally original, and brimming with good sense.

Thanks Kenneth,

It has instinctively bothered me why a tradition would bother or feel inclined to judge anothers enlightenment claims except to defend there own position.
When the space analogy is applied to the "path" of awakening or enlightenment you have the three gears equivalent. First gear is like the objects in space, second gear movement in space and third gear space recognition.

[edit] For me second gear even feels like watching movement rather than static objects changing.

More of Kenneth's no-BS rumination. Excellent. The reference to hoarding is interesting. Hoarding becomes a kind of distorted practice in a way...a repetitive, often quasi-mindless act, bordering on consciousness-without-an-object. Yes, physical objects are there, but the act seems to be virtually void of thought. Obviously, we see a component of craving somewhere in there, but I suspect the craving is never truly identified. I wonder what set me off on that one? hmmm.

Anyone else notice the singing birds? I thought they were great accompaniment top Kenneth's commentary. I could "see" the live scene so clearly.
