From last week.
This is interesting. He makes the odd mistake of not repeating the unheard question, but, other than that this talk has a lot of interesting and useful things.
I was listening on one level to see how mushroomy (new word that only makes sense in our very specific context!) he actuall would be. And, it seemed like he was talking about how to progress along the development path of vipassana/insight without actually specifically talking about the maps and stages. So, I'm not sure.
But, either way, if anyone has time to listen to this podcast I think it would be rewarding especially his advice (quoting Munindra (?) ) to be "light and easy."
Note: right now I'm listening to this:
www.dharmaseed.org/teacher/186/talk/9108/
Which is a very recent intro talk at a long Mahasi style retreat in which the teacher gives very detailed instructions on the noting technique. Interesting to me, not sure if anyone else is interested. Anyway, the guy,U Vivekananda, has a STRANGE way of speaking and seems to interject either foreign or nonesense words into almost every sentence -- it sounds like "sutnia" and "nyut, nyut" and "futnia." If anyone else listens, let me know if you can figure out he is saying -- I've never heard anything like it.

Okay, I"m back to listening to the Vivekananda podcast and the odd words are so ... odd. Please, if anyone happens to listen to it as well, let me know what you think he is saying and why.

Okay, thanks. I didn't think it was an impairment because I can understand each word, it's just that he adds these other words all over the place.
I like the talk.

Yeah he gives good Dharma talks..
Actually when every evening we would chant the 3 refuges and 8 precepts he wouldn't add the 'nye' thing at all, I guess it only happens when he's thinking, like 'ummm' or 'ahhm..'
