Hi AugustLeo,
No worries. I wont press you for anymore info again. I just see the contributions from people like Jackson and Chris inspiring the hell out of people here. It is not just Kenneth although he is obviously helping us more than anyone. This inspiration can sometimes be very key in experiencing faster progress. I speak from my own experience. I would think Kenneth appreciates having others here like Chris and Jackson who can support, inspire and push us all in the right direction. Why not help him too? Don't be modest. 46 years is a wealth of experience. I still think you could contribute much more and I hope you do. But I wont ask again. Looking forward to your model update you are working on.
Metta,
Nick

I agree that Chris and Jackson have had a HUGE impact on my practice with their posts -- and Nik just as much. But, I get the impression that August Leo is maybe a little .... shy .... or reticent .... or something that makes it so that his personality isn't inclined toward a lot of sharing and expounding. too bad. but, I'll take whatever I can get from him, even if it is just "practice."

Amen! Thanks for the kind words, Michael.
And thanks for the offer of support. I will take your advice that I was never born and will never die to heart.
Much love,
Nick

Nikolai, I just want to say-- in plain English and out loud-- that watching you negotiate this discussion is inspiring, educational, and profoundly humbling. Until it took its most recent turn, I'd have said that it COULDN'T.
This ol' dog's learnin' of ya. There's more to wisdom than having become a gray-haired veteran.

"Roomy: "There's more to wisdom than having become a gray-haired veteran."
Very true, Kate. Thanks.

And thank YOU, Michael, for having taken the opportunity to be more direct than I've been, heretofore. I'm having a better-late-than-never dawning understanding of my own reactivity to the more 'Hindu'/Vedanta formulations about practice and awakening. And, as well, to expressions of views that seem just as assertive, cryptic, and rigid as my own can be-- but that are not aligned neatly with my own [cherished! hard-won! and RIGHT, dammit!] views.
So, again, thanks.
