Here's to an amazing first year for KFDh!!!

I've been blown away by the practice reports being posted here. It's beautiful to see that so many people are practicing well and seeing clear results. From first A&P moments, to finally getting through dark night periods, and then to path attainments and beyond, the evidence is clear: "People are getting enlightened here."

To everyone who has been so willing to share their lives so openly on this forum, I can't thank you all enough for your generosity.

And Kenneth, my dear friend, I cannot thank you enough for having the guts to register the Kenneth Folk Dharma site one year ago tomorrow (7/15/2009, if I remember correctly). Your efforts have been more fruitful than I think we could have known back then. I know I'm not alone in saying that I think you are truly a uniquely inspirational and exceptionally skillful dharma teacher.

Seriously? Its only been a year? Wow, I never would have thought, such a strong community in so little time.

Hands down KFDh is the best website of it's kind. Thanks for all the hard work; to the regular patrons and passers by, and personal thanks to Kenneth, MM, cmarti, Nikolai, Claton, Jackson, jgrove, and Michael (leo), brianm2, and all the rest who help to make this site what it is.

As a beginner among accomplished yogis and meditation masters, I mostly stick to posting to my practice notes. But I don't miss a day of benefiting from the insights, adventures, challenges and lessons learned so generously shared here; as well as Kenneth's incomparable pearls. (I hope there may be a book so I can send it to all of my Dharma-inclined friends and family!) With gratitude, Sangha!

Hey thanks Mark. Mpavoreal, Kenneth has said he is working on a book. My understanding is that he is fleshing out some content through his interviews with JGrove posted on Buddhist Geeks...

Dharmaoverground used to have a great vibe and then for some reason it was completely revamped and hyperorganized and, for me, lost a lot of that vibe, and then KFD came along right away and carried on that same nuts and bolts, open, lively, practice-oriented vibe. So great.
And, not to take anything away from the contributions of Kenneth himself, I think the fact that there are SO many advanced yogi's who are at the heart of the place and who are free to voice their opinions gives this place an added zing. Spritual/practice communities where only one person is thought to have any authority and voice are dull and lifeless places. I think it is part of Kenneth's genius that he has been able to attract such people and give them free rein to be completely themselves.

Indeed, this place is a jewel. Full of heartfelt appreciation to Kenneth and everyone here for their guidance, honesty and inspiration.
