Hi, I have a question about finding more solid concentration states. Anapanasati is great for combining shamatha and vipassana, but I don't find it to be the easiest way to work on the pure concentration side of the equation.
Kasina is recommended as the gold standard for harder concentration states, but staring at a kasina for even ten minutes aggravates an eye condition I have, and my vision is messed up for several hours after I use the kasina. This is very problematic.
So, my question is: what other concentration objects help with finding very stable states? I plan to bust all of these states with vipassana, of course, but the first order of business is finding the state. Any ideas?
