First off, thank you to Chris, Nicolai and Jackson for your help, insight and pointers on this. It appears that the last clunker of a fruition I had marks, for me at least, attainment to third, now confirmed with accessing PL1 and 2. Review phase for me is always powerfully energetic and I always use this to propel things forward by allowing or surrendering as much as possible to the energy that pumps through my system. My initial experience of PL1 began with a ultra fine vibration of rapid flutter in the base chakra, spreading to lower body, legs, hips, then stomach, on up through chest, arms, throat into the crown. There, pressure evolved in the third eye. Continued with 'surrender,' and relaxing on the outbreath and then witha blast of kundalini, eyes roll up to flutter and suddenly a field of pink violet appears, a soft kind of glow and the sensation of being launched upward through the prefrontal cortex into a different state which brings great ease and thanks into my life. From there, the energy moved spontaneously up to the crown and into a sort of semi-disembodied state resulting in a soft, airy sensation of the body and self. Over the last few sits I have also noticed the ongoing reducing tension in the visual field and for the first time today, focused in the heart, I had a sense of I, that did not involved the sensation of looking, furthering the sensation of disembodiement. And just for a giggle...regarding markers of attainments, in addition to my clunker fruition and confirmation of PL1 and 2, I can say also that after attaining each path, kundalini is so strong it tends to disrupt bowel movements quite strongly. Ha, ha. This time, it's as though my bowels have been liquified. Just another little addition to the markers along the way. Hope things are well with you all. People at work wonder why I am so happy and well....how do you explain that??

Nice descriptions Cartago. Did you read that link to Maha Boowa's descriptions of the anagami dilemma?
Have you tried pressing down on the "sweet spot" behind the thirdeye, while at the 8th jhana? It can launch you into NS.
Awesome!

Hi Nicolai,
Yes, I have read the Maha Boowa's link. Wonderful stuff. Thanks for that. I've tried pressing down behind the third eye in 8th before but I've noticed in my practice that if I try to force anything, or push so to speak, it just creates a subtle kind of tension, maybe there's a knack to it I don't get, who knows. Subsequently I find I just have to wait and let things happen naturally all by themselves. I did two sits this morning with very powerful sensations of disembodiment while in PL2 and the whole experience leaves my body and mind with a wonderful ease and a kind of interior glow, perhaps that's the radiance Maha Boowa was talking about. Thanks again Nicolai, I very much appreciate your support and interest.

Three questions:
1) Where's the link to "Maha Boowa's descriptions of the anagami dilemma"?
2) What's the exact position of the "third eye"? At the forehead, or deep into the middle of the head?
3) When you sometimes refer to a sensation "at the crown", where's that spot located? At the very top of the head?
Thanks

1) www.what-buddha-taught.net/Books/Maha_Bo...Arahantship.htm#PART 2
2) forhead about an inch or two behind the bindi spot (where Indian women put that sparkly dot on their forheads. Or as you are at least 2nd path, possibly at the point of pressure you sometimes may feels as energy gets blocked there, behind the eyes.
3) It's the spot where a baby has a "soft" spot where it hasn't formed into hard bone. as a 2nd pather , it could possibly be the point at the very top of the head where you feel pressure. That is the crown. But the chakra where the fruition seems to occur, is an inch or so down within the brain from that spot(for me anyways).
Hope this helps

Nikolai, this is actually called the "nirvana chakra" in the "layayoga" book.
