Noting out loud

Noting out loud was created by Jackha
I'm new to noting out loud (whispering). It works great when my attention lags. However I am having a problem. My mouth and lips dry out almost immediately. Noting this drying out overlays anything else that is happening. I note once every 3/4 a second approximately so my mouth is always open. If I slow my noting down and close my mouth between each noting there is not a problem. Any suggestions?

One possibility:
Just keep noting the dryness and all sensations related to it, as well as your aversion to the dryness and whether any of the related sensations are unpleasant, pleasant or neutral. Sooner or later, the dryness would cease to be such a distraction, I'm guessing. Probably there's some restlessness around all of this that would be worth noting, as well as some resistance to noting out loud versus noting silently. Noting aloud takes more energy, has some unpleasantness to it and is therefore something we resist. In other words, it comes with more inherent noting fodder!
:-D
I suppose you could keep a glass of water by your cushion and, at a certain point, note your desire to drink water, the exact moment you intend to pick up the glass (intending, intending), all sensations related to picking up the glass, grasping it, the feeling of the pressure of the glass on your skin and the coolness of it, the intent to lift it to your lips, the lifting of it, the touching of the glass to your lips, the feeling of the water on your lips and going in your mouth, the relief associated with getting to drink the water, the guilt associated with having taken the water rather than gutting things out with the dryness. And then you could note all of this in reverse as you put the glass down, very slowly and carefully, and resumed noting out loud. Hmmm...
