Hey folks,
I've realized I have the perfect place to do a solo retreat for at least four days! A friend of mine has a small cottage on the island of Arran which is a train and a boat ride from here, free to use and secluded with a beach adjacent to it for walking meditation. It's also just across the water from the Holy Isle, which is a Buddhist trust set up by Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche so I may very well arrange a visit at the end of the retreat.
I'm looking for some advice on how best to use my time as I'll have four days in total, although part of the first and last days will be spent traveling so two full uninterrupted days. What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that mate, I remember reading that a while ago, it was the first time I'd ever heard of someone doing a home retreat which was quite a revelation!

I guess you'll want to do a schedule and stick to it. Lots of alternating between sitting and walking. Try to get a few longer sits in as well (2 hours maybe).
