Hello everyone,
In order to refine our models and maps i'd like to bring to your knowledge one of the only Thai forest tradition's spiritual autobiography which describes the practices and experiences encountered till the very experience of arahatship. Ajahn Maha Boowa died last January, he was known and claimed to be an arahat. I think it will surely be fruitful to see if their are or not overlap between his experiences and realisation and the ones we are more accustomed to.
I hope you'll take the time and enjoy reading this.

Hi Obobinde.
There's been some enthusiastic discussion of this book on the forum. Here's a link to one thread...

For those wanting to get to the meat p47-67 is mainly where he writes about his 4th path to arahatship.
Before that it is mainly gaining samadhi with pain, then analyzing body -- looks like mainly though meditation on disgust and decay.
Arahat is free of mental defilements and ignorance, etc.
Seems pretty close to 10fetters model of enlightenment?
Filled with terms like avijja, sankaras, kilesas, makes it difficult to comprehend/slow reading.
