Hi gang,

Vincent Horn just sent this announcement out to his Pragmatic Dharma email list:

Dear Friends,

I wanted to let you know that I'm teaming up with my friend and teaching mentor Kenneth Folk to co-lead a virtual workshop on Saturday, September 3rd. In this online workshop we'll be giving instructions on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness Noting practice and the Mahamudra Noting technique. The focus of the workshop will be on interactive practice, peer learning, and iterative feedback (for improved learning). If you're interested in registering or want more information check it out here: www.pragmaticdharma.com/virtualworkshops/

Our intention is to co-lead a new virtual workshop each month, offering up various practices and teachings related to the pragmatic dharma approach. We'll be sharing what's new and alive for us. Our intention is to more fully bring together those interested in a pragmatic approach to practice, create a powerful place for group practice, and get to know one another better. We're interested in going beyond a DIY (do it yourself) approach to a DIT (do it together) approach. Of course, that's nothing new in the Buddhist tradition (it's often called sangha), but what's new is how we're doing it, and that's exciting stuff!

Sincerely,

Vincent Horn

P.S. '“ I'm not sure if you saw that Buddhist Geeks, my other big project, was featured in the LA Times recently. The article was called, 'Buddhist Wonks? No, Buddhist Geeks'

Note from Kenneth: I'm really excited about this series of workshops, both for the community-building and dharma-sharing aspects of it and for the chance to work again with Vince. I hope to see you all there!
