I said the sky is blue
and ran afoul
of the men who own the sky
and blue.

My reply?
No one owns the sky
or blue
So pooh on you.

The Sea Is Blue, White, Green and Black

He said the sky is blue, and rightly so,
But does that mean the sea and oceans wide are too?
I set a sail aboard my ship, to discover the truth behind the hue.

I saw from afar while down the river I went,
the sea was blue, dark and brooding.
Yet, at the river's entrance it turned white and rough.

White be the sea? I asked myself.
It would appear it was, a bubbly beige.
The current and wind continued to blow.

My sails pushed on to the horizon,
The sea turned dark green as lacklustre emeralds.
The sun set arrived, and the sea turned black.

In the morning, I cupped the salty substance,
and noticed the lack of colour.
Perceived and coloured from afar, river mouth, sun, moon and hands,

The sea divulged its secrets.
