I am a software developer and looking to develop some tools to help people accelerate their practice. If anyone is interested and would be willing to chat with me, please send a private message.

I am also looking to chat with people who have done a little Mahamudra Noting and learn what their experience has been. Again please private message me.

Thanks!

I remembered this post. I had the idea of taking something like this guy did:

Where I guess he's pointing at these various things on a graphic that visually represents various aspects of mindfulness and noting.

You could take something like that and make it interactive with a mouse input or something. So you would need to click on the map every so often, like once per second or as you choose, otherwise there would be some kind of feedback. The resulting input could be crunched as to foundations of mindfulness, etc.

I've been interested in coming up with programatic ways for people to tell where they are in their practice. This would be very challenging but a fun project that I don't have much time for. I primarily program in web languages like PHP, Ruby on Rails and lots of database backend stuff. If you want to chat sometime, let me know.

I like what Rohan is doing with buddhify for iOS, but it is for beginning concentration practice. I think he is working on something for beginners in vipassana. Also there is a really cool app coming out soon called Rewire. Should be neat.

As an update, Kenneth and I are collaborating on some ideas. It will likely involve noting :-)
