The practices outlined here:

WORK!!!
As per Kenneth's recent article ( kennethfolkdharma.com/2012/03/how-can-i-...-nonduality-at-work/ ) these practices work extremely well in a complimentary way.
People have been asking "should I do shamatha first, or focus strictly on third gear, etc." I say follow the instructions on the first page I linked, and don't underestimate the depth of the practices listed (even though they may sound simple).
When doing the four foundations noting, I would recommend including regular practice of focusing for about 10 minutes at a time on one foundation and then switching to the next in sequence. Work backwards through them as well (1234 and 4321).
For second gear practice, don't merely try and focus on the 6th jhana and use it to ride the arc (although this is a highly recommended practice). Ask yourself again and again - "who is having this experience." This will deepen over time. It will also lead to experiences of 3rd gear.

Well reminded, Mu. Maybe we need to bundle the "Start Here" pages and what follows into a ebook that people can download as a PDF, MOBI and EPUB. Then stick it somewhere really prominent and give it a name and a cover. People seem to like digestible wholes, and perhaps by packaging it up in this way more people will get to the good stuff.
Kenneth - I'd be happy to help with formatting and design if this was ever something you wanted to do.

Mumu thanks for that instruction. It's really good to be explicitly reminded like that.
Andy, that is a really great idea. then people when they first come here can be clearer about things. also, there are so many juicy bits hidden on the site.... now while it is fun to hunt around and discover them, perhaps there could be a way to bring to the fore some of the threads and so on that are real classics (i don't know who would decide that but i guess you know what i mean). e.g. one i found yesterday, which is actually a thread that is also called "how to get enlightened" (it is not the same as mumu's first link above).

just a suggestion... jacki.
