But I was more interested in your conclusion that you are just a body, and what you mean by "pure self."

"

Yes, I am just a material body, that has the pleasure to have sense contact with its environment, the streams of sensory information flow together and create a pure self that is rooted only in reality, no adornment, no decoration, no loops. processing a lot of different sensory data to a oneness is creating a self, a pure self which is not self reflective yet.
I am not an expert but in Ramanas terminology but I think he meant the same when he uses the term self.

@ orasis
materialistic means here following the rule of physics. I am in complete harmony with the laws of nature (and science) then.

time is less important but it is also clear that it happens. I mean I wouldn't doubt that one thing happens before the other, that I get older and not younger, etc. Only when I get completely absorbed in a sensory impression it disappears, but its also clear to me that this is an effect that my brain creates and that I am still getting older, things still happen etc.

I am not sure if I was smart enough to understand that one correctly: "Pragmatically speaking, what is the most useful model to conceptualize the Path to realize a Goal?"

I guess the point I was trying to make is that only the conceptual mind can believe in things like physics, science, time, causality etc.

My experience is that the conceptual mind is limited to small truths, and, if fully believed, causes a lot of (conceptual) pain.

So, I am surprised to read you making statements about the absolute truth of your existence. If these statements are pragmatically useful, then fine, but otherwise, why believe them?

In my understanding it's the paradigma of science to abstain from absolute truth. science is not even interested in absolute truth. religion is.

but if someone likes to: mystify your life. the universe is on your side:-)
