Should we move KFD to Ning?

Porting over the current contents seems to be a tricky thing to pull off. I wouldn't expect all new features to be available on old material. So, for example, I would expect to be able to search, view, and respond to old threads, but perhaps threaded discussions might only be available on new posts. Or, perhaps we could cut off responding to posts older than a few months. This might limit the amount of work necessary to bring in content.
I definitely would like support for accessing the site from mobile devices. I would want the full site as an option, but by default would expect pages formatted appropriately for small form-factor screens.
I second Florian on threaded discussion, search, no like/dislike buttons, "what's new", "mark as read", email rather than PMs, optional social media integration

Chris, Kenneth and other powers-that-be,
Is there any chance of an update on progress with finding a new home for KFD?
I noticed that Google+ have a new communities function - they can either be private (where you have to apply to join) or public. Even if this doesn't replace the KFD website, we should start a community anyway, since there are several of us using Google+. I'm happy to set one up if Kenneth and Chris permit.
Cheers
Andy

Andy, Tom Otvos and I talked to Kenneth about moving KFDh in person at the Buddhist Geeks conference last August and he decided at that time not to move KFDh to Awakenetwork.org. My impression was that Kenneth did not want to move KFDh at all, but he will have to weigh in on that.
BTW - I'm no longer the admin here, having resigned a few months ago for reasons related to having more time available. All of these decisions are in Kenneth's hands.
