Having waded through dozens of books on Mahamudra and Dzogchen, I thought I'd share my favorite bits.

* "Mindfulness" chapter from Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche's Rainbow Painting

Deals a bit with the difference between effortful and effortless mindfulness, and the progression from simple shamatha to shamatha+vipashyana:

* "The Lamp That Dispels Darkness" by Mipham Rinpoche.

Must say I'm astounded that I can't find this for purchase anywhere online. I just stumbled upon it while reading the anthology "Perfect Clarity." It's the most succinct and jargon-free intro to Dzogchen that I've ever read.

I've also got a collection of quotes and notes from various books that I may share.
