Mindful, can you describe your meditation technique? Vipasssana can leave you feeling a bit raw so it's good to balance it with concentration as well.

re: fear: i note it too.. i guess its the after effect that causes the realization of mortality, especially when its health related stuff. leading to the compassion

my meditation technique A is mostly awareness of breath, noting, choiceless awareness

and then my new meditation technique B is the more intuitive one, where i sort of go into a trance and sway around, being open as a channel of energy, movement, expression.. whether this method is good for insight is debatable i guess, reading some stuff on the web say that it is just as effective. either way, the openness is fun and develops intuiton , has a healing and relaxing effect as well.

im also testing out the power of 'intention' or 'inclining the mind' to this or that.

i guess im straying away from hardcore dharma practice and going to mixture of other paths, but since ive come this far and only moving forward, why not explore the other paths. a whole new world opened up.

I guess method B has more of a concentration aspect than method A.

Perhaps you could go deep into method B and then switch to practicing method A to find the flaws and such that are still inherent in it (all phenomenon have the three characteristics).
