Tuesday Night Virtual Sangha on KFD

I thought this went very well. It helped me a lot to hear Beth's advice on Stream Entry and to discuss how equanimity can affect practice. Thanks!

Thanks for coming, John, Oliver, Jgroove, Rob, Pejn, Beth, and Cliff! I thought there were some technical kinks, but I thought the content was great and I too appreciated Beth's tips on combining 1st and 3rd Gear perspectives to attain stream entry and beyond.

I'd like to try it again next week; we'll tweak the format a bit to make it flow better, maybe breaking off into dyads for short periods, then getting back together to discuss. I think we can find a way to use the technology to maximum advantage to build community online. Excited about the prospects. I'm really into building online community!

I'm not going to post the recording to this one because it didn't come out well, but we'll keep recording them and see if we get some good stuff eventually.

If you want to e-mail me a link to DivShare, I'd be happy to transcribe the call and e-mail you the file. There was some good stuff in there that I'd like to hear again, especially your concrete tips on how to figure out what nyana you're in.
It might take me a year or so to finish the project, however, as I'll be too busy noting up in here...

I'm going to give it a shot. my mac can't handle the latest skype (thanks microsoft!), but tomorrow I should have access to a newer one that I think can. I'll give a heads up if I can't get things together.

Question: Is everyone who wants to participate tonight already signed up on Google+? If not, please pm Omnipleasant for an invite and get signed up. Then send me an email at kennethfolkdharma at gmail dot com and I'll add you to my circles. This will give us some more flexibility for the meetings. Tonight I'd like to try something new: we'll meet initially on Skype or Google+ (to be announced), then we'll break up into dyads for some noting. Then, we'll reconvene as a group and discuss. Repeat process with new partner. Kind of like speed dating. I think this will be a nice way to build a sangha as it allows us one-on-one time with people we might not otherwise get to hang out with.

I won't be able to make it tonight.

OK, let's do a virtual sangha this Tuesday, especially for the Europeans. It will be at 3:00pm (15:00) New York time, so that is 21:00 CEST. If your country does not observe daylight savings time, please adjust accordingly. Last Tuesday was almost all noting together in pairs and then as a group, so there is no recording from that one. And I will get the previous recording to jgroove, who has graciously offered to transcribe it although his plate is currently full and can't guarantee a delivery date.

Jgroove, if you want to just log onto skype and stay on it for awhile, I'll see you there and transfer the file that way. You'll get a notification in your chat window and you'll just have to accept the file.
